Second chances are best chances in life, not everyone gets second chances. Lamar Odom’s journey is like a movie story, from playing professional basketball at the highest level in two competitive associations, NBA and in Spain, to anoverdose and near death experience, which resulted in four years of inaction. He is set to play basketball professionally again. If that’s not a miracle journey then I do not know what is.
Lamar Odom, 38, made the announcement of his sensational return to the game of basketball in a spirited post.
This time around he won’t be playing in NBA or Spain but the People’s Republic of China. He befittingly acknowledged the goodness of God at affording him another chance and thanked his fans for the love and continued support. He has had it hard, being in a coma and fighting for his life, he is now set to do what he loves the most, playing basketball.
You read that right folks; Lamar is headed to China, where he will be joining the Chinese Basketball Association. The Chinese basketball organization has over the years gained so much momentum and it is growing at a very fast pace, both in talent and market price.
His heart seems to be in the right place and we have no doubt that with such motivation to make the best of the second chance he will succeed and leave a legacy that his children and the lovers of the game will be proud of. His second stint at playing professional basket again will inspire everyone to never give up on their dreams as it isn’t over until it’s over.
Whichever team he will join, he will add to their strength as he is coming with unmatched experience and motivation.
The overdose at a Nevada Brothel, the Love Ranch didn’t close the curtain on his life and certainly not his career. True to his own confession, God has given him another chance. All the best champ.
